The European Everyday of Sport project was held in the period 2016-2017 and was aimed at improving the exchange of good practices, the priority of Erasmus +, helping to identify and promote good practices from first and second edition of the European Week of Sport and promoting participation in sport and physical activity. The specific theme of this strategic partnership was focused on developing, identifying, promoting and sharing good practices.
In July 2018, the Directorate-General Education, Youth, Sport and Culture informed the Bulgarian sports development association that Project #EUEverydaySport was selected as Success story and Good practice by experts from the Directorate-General. "Success stories" are finalised projects that have distinguished themselves by their impact, contribution to policy-making, innovative results and/or creative approach and can be a source of inspiration for others. The selection of your project as a success story was made on the basis of rigorous criteria regarding its quality, relevance and results.
The partnership of 7 countries, coordinated by the Bulgarian sports development association, has carried out various activities at local, national and international level; focuses its attention on collecting, developing, identifying, analyzing, promoting and sharing best practices from Europe and the world that can be easily applied to the work of experts in these areas. The project also focuses on the activities organized during the first and second editions of the European Week of Sport and gathered all the good practices realized in 2015 and 2016 in the member states. These good practices are extremely useful in planning the next editions of the European Week of Sport and other events to promote health and physical activity through increased participation and equal access to sport for all.
All activities in this project were devoted to providing open resources with a focus on specific target groups and opportunities to make the movement a part of the daily agenda of more and more people in Europe. Improving Good Governance in Sport with Quick Access to Resources - Educational Platform and Android / IPhone Application - An innovative "Sports Ideas" database was another of the project's products and is available at www.eusport.org.
