Description:
The CNOSF was created in 1894 and represents the French Olympic and sports sports movement.

The CNOSF, which acts as a representative for the entire sports movement in France, brings together 16 million members, 3,500,000 volunteers, 180,000 sporting associations, 108 federations and sports groups and 128 decentralised bodies (Regional, Departmental and Territorial Olympic and Sports Committees).

The CNOSF also represents the French Olympic and sports movement. It is the key contact for public authorities. It also actively takes part in the work of numerous consultation authorities and, on behalf of or with federations, as per their prerogatives, undertakes all high-level sport and sport-for-everyone development activities.

In Europe, the CNOSF is a member of the European Olympic Committees and has built important relationships with its counterparts.

Over the past 5 years, the CNOSF has organised the “Sentez-Vous Sport” initiative every September, involving a large number of stakeholders which promote sport for all (local authorities, sport federations & clubs, companies specialised in sport equipment, schools, universitties...). All over France, events such as School Sports Days, Vital Sport (at Decathlon stores), Sport Heritage days and even more, are organized.
